The Track
Our track was no easy feat to build. It twists, turns, and follows the challenging lay of our land like no other. We are proud to call this 24″ gauge railroad our own. It is truly a scenic journey through our 50+ acre property. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to share it with you all!
The Train
Our train was developed and built right here in East Texas by Holly Springs Farm’s parent company, Swannee River Railroad! This beautiful locomotive is just one of 40+ that we have built and sent around the country for operation.
Our #1’s design is inspired by “geared” style logging locomotives that were once seen right here in East Texas. #1 is a 1/2 scale replica of the Class B “Dunkirk” geared steam locomotive built from 1882 -1894.
We refer to this locomotive as the SR24 “Lumberjack”.
